Amanda is a student in the MBA Class of 2018 at Harvard Business School. Prior to HBS, Amanda was an investor at Generate Capital, a specialty finance company focused in resource productivity technologies across energy, water, and materials. At Generate, she focused on energy storage, solar thermal, and solar PV investments. Amanda has also been management consultant at McKinsey & Co. where she was part of the Digital practice. She holds a B.ASc. from the University of British Columbia where she majored in Mechanical Engineering and specialized in Mechatronics.
Symposium Co-Chair - Greg Loving
Greg is member of the HBS Class of 2018. Prior to HBS, he worked for ExxonMobil in a variety of roles including a site-based facilities engineering assignment in Wyoming, a stint in natural gas marketing in Houston, and as an energy policy regulatory analyst. Greg graduated from the University of Kansas with a double major in Chemical Engineering and Economics, where he also conducted research in algal biofuels and founded the KU Energy Club.
CFO - Brittany Niles
Brittany is a student in the MBA Class of 2018 at Harvard Business School. Prior to HBS, Brittany was working in various roles within the oil and gas industry. These roles included three years at Shell working as a Completion Engineer covering land and deepwater Gulf of Mexico assets. Brittany also worked in Business Development for Frank’s International, a casing and tubing running service provider. Brittany holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Chief Sustainability Officer - Molly Middaugh
Molly is a second-year student at Harvard Business School. Over the summer, Molly worked at NextEra Energy Resources, focusing on battery storage solutions as well as solar project development. Prior to HBS, Molly worked as an environmental consultant, helping large energy companies, government agencies, and utilities identify and reduce the environmental impacts of their projects. Most recently, she co-founded an environmental consulting firm with three colleagues, and she continues to server on the Board of Directors. Molly graduated magna cum laude from Pomona College with a degree in Environmental Science and Economics. She enjoys backpacking, painting, and singing.
VP Education & Innovation - Andrew Serpa
Andrew is a student in the MBA Class of 2018 at Harvard Business School. Prior to HBS, Andrew worked as a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Co in San Francisco where he served multiple clients in the Utilities and Private Equity spaces. Before joining Bain, Andrew worked in research with the Thermal Hydraulics Lab at UC Berkeley developing next generation nuclear reactors.
VP Alumni - Eun Gi Chung
Eun Gi is a student in the MBA Class of 2018 at Harvard Business School. Most recently, Eun Gi worked for 8minutenergy Renewables in their project financing group on various capital raising efforts. Prior to 8minutenergy, Eun Gi worked for Nomura Securities as an investment banker. Eun Gi graduated with a B.S. in Operations Research Engineering from Cornell University.
VP Business Development - Barrett LaChance
Prior to HBS, Barrett worked as a sales manager on the distributed generation team at SunEdison where he was responsible for originating sites and power purchase agreement for new greenfield and brownfield development and negotiating project acquisitions for commercial & industrial sized solar installations in New England. Prior to SunEdison he worked as an Associate at BCG and worked with clients in the retail and healthcare space. Barrett graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Environmental Studies.
VP Community - Shannon O'Connell
Shannon O’Connell, P.E., LEED AP, is a first year MBA student at Harvard Business School. Prior to HBS, Shannon was the Deputy Director of Sustainability at Parsons Corporation, an international engineering and construction management firm. She served a number of public and private clients, providing sustainability engineering solutions including energy assessments, photovoltaic energy system design and construction management, LEED certification, and carbon footprint assessments. Shannon holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
